Lies and Lipstick

McCain and Palin decided lying about Obama's tax plan and his health care plan, and his position on sex ed wasn't enough. Now they're lying about Obama's use of a metaphorical expression. Watch this video:

It's abundantly clear that Obama was talking about the entire Bush-McCain approach, not Palin. And now we're treated to idiotic mind-reading from the press saying that Obama's words were "widely interpreted" as referring to Palin.

For all it's worth, here's what McCain said while talking about Hillary's health care proposal in 2007: ""I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."

It's pretty rich for McCain to be calling anyone sexist in light of his Chelsea Clinton joke that was so vile that most newspapers censored it from their coverage.

UPDATE: Here's what Obama said about this today.

Let me just add to this--Palin called Hillary a "whiner" for complaining about sexist treatment. Who's whining now? If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Oh, but that expression is sexist....yegads, spare me the false outrage!!!
Speaking as a woman, I'm offended by the McCain camp's cynical abuse of the gender card.
